What is the Rooted: Discipleship Experience?

It is a 10-week small group journey designed to move you from knowing about God to actually experiencing Him.

Over the 10 weeks, you'll learn foundational Christian beliefs and devotional practices found in the New Testament.

What Will I Actually Do?

Personal study | Your Rooted Workbook will have 5  approachable, devotional readings each week.  There are also  reflection questions to help you process what you're learning. 

Don't worry! We won't kick you out if you don't finish all of your "homework" one week. You'll get out of it what you put into it, so we encourage you to do your best.

Weekly group time | Your Rooted group will meet each Thursday evening for about 1.5 hours to discuss the topic for that week. Topics will include prayer, suffering, repentance, serving, generosity, sharing your story, and worship. 

Is this Discipleship Experience right for me?

This experience is great for anyone who is ready to take their faith seriously, no matter where you are starting from. Whether you are brand new Christianity, returning after time away, or a longtime Christian whose faith has started to feel routine.

That said, Rooted is not a passive class. The group experience is where most of the transformation happens, and the 10 weeks build on each other. Relationships in this experience matter, and your group members are relying on you to show up! Many times, the groups formed during Rooted: Discipleship Experience continue on after the 10 weeks.

Cost & Scholarships

The cost is $20, which covers your Rooted Workbook. Scholarships are available. If the cost of the book would create a financial burden for you, please reach out to smallgroups@highpointchurch.org.
